Squirrel vs. Squirrel-Proof Bird Feeder (Video)

Anyone with a bird feeder knows how cunning and clever squirrels are when it comes to scoring a free meal.

Just as the hilarious video I posted a few months ago points out, squirrels will literally jump through hoops and venture passed an obstacle course for food.

That’s why I researched some inexpensive ways to stop squirrels from eating all your bird seeds because I’d never used a squirrel-proof feeder and was a little skeptical about whether they were effective. That was until I saw this.

The squirrel-proof bird feeder in the video is none other than the Droll Yankees Yankee Flipper Squirrel Proof Tube Bird Feeder.

The Yankee Flipper, as you can see from the video, is fantastically entertaining. Aside from having some of the best aspects of regular feeders, including 4 seed ports, a 5 pound capacity and a frame that won’t yellow in the sun, it also eliminates all possibilities for a squirrel to steal food.

A motorized perch that is weight sensitive will automatically spin in circles whenever a squirrel jumps onto it. Although it might humorously toss the squirrel away from the feeder, it doesn’t harm the critter in any way.

So, if you have a problem with squirrels and would love to see them learn their lesson, The Yankee Flipper is a great buy.
