It’s Halloween—that strange time of year when everyone dresses up as someone else and fun things are carved into pumpkins. Since we already covered bird-related costumes, we’re now going to look at some fun bird jack-o-lanterns.
Check them out below.
Ravens
Raven’s—fairly or unfairly—are often associated with Halloween for a few reasons. Their deep and throaty cawing is usually heard clearly this time of year, the raven is a dark character in Edgar Allen’s “The Raven” and the raven’s in Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Birds” are downright scary. Here are some of the best raven jack-o-lanterns around the web.

Owls
There’s something inherently creepy and “fallish” about owls. Maybe it’s the fact that they mostly come out at night or maybe it’s that they can rotate their heads in a similar way as Regan from “The Exorcist.” Whatever the reason, here are some of the best owl pumpkin carvings.

Tux the Linux Penguin
This one is less of a Halloween pumpkin and more of a geeky pumpkin. Tux is the official mascot of the Linux operating system and he’s awfully cute.

Cardinal
Finally, the scariest is always the recently deceased. RIP Cardinals.
