Seagull gives new meaning to “birds-eye view” in video

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to soar through the sky like a bird, now’s your chance.

A seagull stole a man’s camera in France and recorded its brief flight to the top of a nearby building.

The video went viral with more than a million views on YouTube in less than a week. Seagulls are known for being thieves, though mainly for things like chips. This seagull was much more interested in lifting (literally!) something a little more high-priced.

Amazingly, the durable GoPro camera stayed on during and after the hijacking, getting some good high definition recording of the bird’s high-flying journey.

This video is definitely fun to watch, but some people are suspicious it’s a PR stunt for GoPro cameras because they’ve been known to plant videos in hope that they go viral.

Either way this video gives a great look into the playful personality of a curious seagull. Take a look at the clip below.
