Yellow Backyard Bird Cottage

This one-of-a-kind birdhouse in white features a distinctive wrap-around porch with rear stairs, as well as, the traditional front stoop. A gable-covered balcony adorns the front of the house. The Backyard Bird Cottage has two windows on each side, creating depth and interest. Two flower-boxes frame the left-hand side windows and a flower basket hangs over the front porch. The roof, gable, and porch overhang are all covered with pine shingles. There’s even a chimney! A removable back wall, drainage, ventilation, an unpainted interior, and a 1. 25 ” hole size will invite nesting birds in and keep larger ones out. Fully functional, this decorative house will lure both people and birds!

Should you want to preserve the finish (paint) of this item, you should select a polyurethane product that is recommended for marine use (UV-rated) and will not turn the white paint yellow. You should expect that once left outside, the home will weather and require refinishing.

A beach hut is a small, usually wooden, and often brightly colored structure built above the high tide mark on popular bathing beaches generally used for storage, as a shelter, and for changing into and out of bathing suits. Some beach huts incorporate simple facilities for preparing food and hot drinks. Our Brighton Beach Huts Birdhouse features none of the above! It does, however, feature three side-by-side nest boxes in red, white, and aqua adorned with life preservers on each end. Included are beach pennants and an orange beaked gull to decorate the roofs.
