Features:
A contoured rim on the generous, 18.75″ diameter basin provides birds with a comfortable and natural perch, while the textured interior helps small birds grip it.
The gradual slope on it creates a 1.75″ deep reservoir, enabling small birds to bathe safely and large birds to drink and preen.
A heating element remains hidden between the dual plastic walls, using 150 Watts of power and automatically activating only when the water nears freezing thanks to the internal thermostat.
This aids in keeping the water free of ice on even the coldest days and should keep the water between 40-50° Fahrenheit.
Place this bath in the included, 24″ tall metal stand, for a fantastic display in your yard.
Use the included stakes to secure this stand in your soil, and tape the 12″ long cord to the stand to better camouflage it.
For extra versatility, use hardware (not included) to attach the bowl to your horizontal, wooden deck rail.
This unit has been fully tested in sub-zero conditions to ensure it will not crack, and the beige hue of the plastic bath evokes stone, while the black metal stand enhances any surrounding.
I have used these birdbaths for years. I write the dates purchased on the bottom & they have lasted at least 15 years. I only use them in the winter. You can’t go wrong with these.

Living in Minnesota, where a bird may freeze solid if its body gets wet in winter, I was worried about providing a heated bird “bath”. But providing birds with drinking water, when all ponds and streams are ice-bound, is desirable. So I took the chance and installed an Allied Precision heated bird “bath”. And the birds and I are delighted. They are sensible. They flock to the rim to drink, but not to paddle. Perfect!_x000D_
The product is well engineered and durable. Its thermostat maintains the water at a steady 54 degrees … so steam rises from it on colder days. The steady evaporation means that I must top it up daily. But that simple chore encourages me to empty and refill it when the water is dirtied by seed particles, etc._x000D_
I suggest that Backyard Chirper should recommend using a Water Wiggler type of stirrer as an accessory to this bird bath: birds mistrust completely still water.
