I bought these hoppers after years of using, abusing and finally discarding many other types of feeders. Cedar rotted, plastic shattered in the cold wind and metal would corrode. This feeder is attractive but neutral in appearance, the material is easy to clean but slightly roughened to ensure a good birdy foothold, and it certainly looks to be much more long lasting than the others.
